My name is Jasneet Devgun, and I am a Cardiology fellow at Henry Ford Hospital. I did my medical schooling at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed my Internal Medicine residency at The Ohio State University. I moved to Detroit to pursue my dream of becoming a Cardiologist, and I have a particular interest in cardiovascular imaging, arrhythmias, and electrophysiology.
After years of searching for truth, I found Christ in the Orthodox Church and have been a member of the Coptic Church since 2011. I have never looked back since. I am passionate about God and seek to share the same miraculous love to others that Christ has shown me, especially to our brothers and sisters who work with us on the front lines. This is precisely why I chose to get involved with CMANA.
I joined the CMANA Student Chapter Board as Editor-In-Chief of the CMANA Newsletter in January 2020. It has been an absolutely rewarding journey with my brothers and sisters at CMANA. We have a quarterly newsletter that we publish that is comprised entirely of the voices of our CMANA members across the country. We also have published anecdotal works, such as the “COVID CMANA Stories” series, showcasing powerful testimonies and moving works during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. I have met incredible faithful people who have written for our newsletters. I truly feel that it was I who have learned the most from our writers and not the other way around! My goal with the newsletter is to bring together the voices of our community to provide healing, hope, and practical spiritual wisdom for all those in the healthcare field. Making Christ a true center of our work and our daily lives in medicine, as well as living an ascetic life in the world, are themes I hope to bring to the forefront. There is true strength in the community, which can be harnessed for great gains in our spiritual lives in Christ.
