Mark Marzouk
Director of Missions
Dr. Mark Marzouk completed his education in Cairo, Egypt, graduating from Ain Shams Faculty of Medicine in 2000. After moving to the United States, he completed his residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2010. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and currently an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery as well as Program Director of Residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University.
Dr. Mark has been a part of the Coptic Medical Association of North America since its inception in 2010, at which time he joined its first established medical mission to Egypt. He has since served on a number of missions, to both Egypt and Namibia. Previously a member of the Missions Committee, as of 2026, he has come on board as Director of the Missions Program where he plays a key role in not only supporting the growth of the missions program, but in strengthening long-term partnerships and creating opportunities for mentorship and education through such partnerships.
He resides in New York with his wife, Dr. Haidy, an otolaryngologist, and his three children, aged 7, 12, and 14. In his spare time, he enjoys soccer, pickleball, and watching Steelers football!
