Counseling in a Time of COVID-19

Our team is made up of Coptic servants from across North America who are licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, pastoral counselors, and more! CHILD MENTAL HEALTH

COVID-19 puts unfortunate strain on children as well as adults. Children are growing up in a world of uncertainty and fear, and we, as parents, have the responsibility of giving them structure and hope. Click below to learn about strategies for guiding children through a socially-distant world.

ONLINE TOOLS AND APPS

Even without access to in-person counseling as a result of the virus and social distancing, quality mental health counseling is available virtually. There are many applications and online resources that are working to give people access to that care at affordable rates. Don’t know where to start looking for resources? CMANA Mental Health has looked into these virtual options for you, and you can click below to find the best resources the program has come across so far.

Protection Against Sexual Abuse

Sexual abuse, especially of children, is an extremely heavy but absolutely necessary topic to bring awareness to so that people are able to best protect themselves and respond to trauma. For guidance on how to approach this topic with your child, click below.

SUPPORT GROUP

Sexual abuse, even with education and awareness, still occurs. For our survivors, a space to recover from trauma is a crucial step in the process of healing. With this in mind, CMANA Mental Health has created a support group for survivors of sexual abuse. Below you can find the flyer for it in both English and Arabic, and clicking each flyer will take you to a Google form to fill out in order to join.
